I think that's because the medical categories are very badly thought out, when you think about it. The label "morbidly obese" makes it sound like this is some ultimate level of obesity, when really as fat admirers we know that's still relatively small, and in terms of health risks, is actually much closer to the normal weight range than to the higher limits of what is humanly possible. I mean a woman like Katie Cummings is very likely to live past 70, yet the science is making it sound like her risks are comparable to a woman who is 600 pounds. That's downright incompetent. The obesity categories should be a lot more spread out across the whole spectrum."
